Hotel Neni was born in 1930,at the beginning as a room-letting place, in an old palace dating back to 1648.

Thanks to the love of hospitality shown by its then owners,Angelo Tononi and Maddalena Tardivo called “NENI”, it became a great success. The owners then decided to add a restaurant and bar,so becoming a guesthouse. Just after the 1960’s, they bought the nearby liqueur shop that sold wine and “grappa”.

During the same years Mr.Angelo built the southern wing of the building, developping it further and reaching a total of 20 rooms. The restaurant became famous throughout the whole Vallagarina area and it became a well-known location for celebrating weddings and other ceremonies.

The main attraction was the traditional cuisine of Mrs.Maddalena (Neni),with the assisstance of her neice Amabile Tononi. By the 1980’s the management had passed onto a great grandson , Renato Mazzurana, together with his wife Liana.

During the 1990’s they decided to improve the entire structure and completely refurbished the hotel.All architectural barriers were removed, keeping the old “stube”,enlargening the reception area and adding an extra 10 rooms, thus reaching a total of 30 rooms.

In 2003 a further improvement was made,adding a swimming-pool and parking place.

Hotel Neni is now at its 4th generation with Luana Mazzurana, Renato’s and Liana’s daughter. Together they manage this hospitable dwelling and in 2014 the hotel was rewarded for its long activity with a plaque inscribed with the following denomination: “BOTTEGA STORICA TRENTINA” (Historical Trentino business)
